Ingredients
- 400g flank steak or sirloin
- 250g egg noodles
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- tsp chili flakes (optional)
- cup beef stock or water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Instructions
- Marinate the thinly sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for about 10 minutes.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions until tender; drain and set aside.
- Mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, chili flakes (if using), and beef stock or water in a bowl.
- In a hot wok with vegetable oil, sear the marinated beef until browned; remove from the pan.
- Stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, and broccoli for 2–3 minutes until bright green.
- Add the seared beef back into the wok along with cooked noodles and pour in the prepared sauce; toss to combine.
- Serve immediately hot.
