Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 large Apples, Peeled & Chopped
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir in the peeled and chopped apples.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until boiling. Reduce to low and simmer for about 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
  3. Remove 1/2 cup of cooking liquid into a bowl. Mix in cornstarch until smooth, then return it to the saucepan.
  4. Cook on low while stirring until thickened to your desired consistency.
  5. Serve warm or chilled with cinnamon sugar chips for dipping.
